ALSYMEX designs and manufactures equipment for glove boxes, incorporating high availability instrumentation and control, automation and robotization.

On new installations or dismantling projects, ALSYMEX intervenes for process and equipment nuclearization missions for contaminating environments, on maintainable and decontaminable mechanical and electromechanical systems and processes (conveying, handling, machining, characterization, etc.).

ALSYMEX designs automated systems that can be robotized and hardened for specific use in hot cells. The solutions deployed by ALSYMEX enable highly reliable remote operation where activity levels are high. ALSYMEX manages all specific constraints associated with exposure and maintainability of  shielded cell equipment, in particular compatible materials, connectors, and electrical and mechanical penetrations and shielding.

Entirely remotely controllable for hot cell assembly and dismantling, the solutions developed by ALSYMEX enable equipment to be used in high activity exposure conditions and allow for remote operation (special connectors, shielding, special materials).

The constraints associated with contamination, material retention, grip and handling of parts (geometries and weights), radiation, ageing and material compatibility are taken into consideration.

ALSYMEX designs and manufactures barrel compacting products and solutions for the nuclear industry, helping to reduce the volume of very low-level waste generated by nuclear installations, in order to increase storage capacity and volume.

ALSYMEX is also developing compacting solutions for canisters, aerosols and other tanks, with effluent recovery, containment filtration and radiological atmosphere monitoring to reduce waste volumes.

ALSYMEX designs and manufactures instrumented glove boxes for nuclear facilities.

For applications that call for class 1 shop-fabricated stainless steel glove boxes, ALSYMEX manufactures tailored equipment incorporating all of the constraints of nuclear sites relating to the handling, transfer, transformation of radioactive material in a containment, or under a controlled neutral gas atmosphere.

With rich knowledge and expertise, ALSYMEX takes into account ventilation classes (renewal rate, dynamic containment), static containment classes (leak rate) and other specifics of the application (e.g. materials in fluid, gas or solid form), especially in glove box applications calling for mechanical processes, fluids or gases imposing specific operating constraints (T°, P, PH, H₂, O₂).

ALSYMEX designs and manufactures a line of high-performance heat exchangers consisting of superimposed pre-machined plates providing channel geometries dedicated to each application. Assembly of these individual plates calls for metallic bonds produced by a diffusion welding technique assisted by Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP).

This technology, which involves high pressures and temperatures on the parts to be assembled, allows for welding at the heart of the material, not just on the surface. It enables the plates to be welded consistently with no added material, an operation that is impossible using more traditional techniques.

ALSYMEX has developed a system for characterizing and analyzing materials and/or nuclear fuels, by cutting, compression, traction and drilling.

ALSYMEX designs and manufactures electromechanical or electrohydraulic presses intended for the production of nuclear fuels of different sizes and geometries, for laboratory applications, in glove boxes or shielded cells.

In collaboration with CEA LIST, ALSYMEX develops and manufactures a remote-controlled manual welding system with filler metal. Its aim is to enable welders to remotely perform controlled operations, in an ergonomic position, thus avoiding exposure to environmental constraints.

For the PHENIX reactor decommissioning program, ALSYMEX has designed a new fuel element handling arm. This equipment guarantees extraction of lateral neutron protection, inaccessible with the original design.

For over thirty years, ALSYMEX has offered a wide range of BW fittings and machined fittings for use in the civil nuclear market. These fittings satisfy the high demands of standards such as the RCCM, but ALSYMEX can also produce fittings to the specific technical specifications of its clients.

LERITY designs, develops and manufactures radiation-hardened vision assemblies suitable for ionizing and aquatic environments, the APOLLON camera systems.

APOLLON compact systems can withstand radiation levels above 100 Mrd. The sealed camera body (6 bar) is designed for a long service life and has its own light source. APOLLON systems are available with focal lengths of 20 to 90 mm including several options: fixed focal lengths, conventional or prismatic zooms, interchangeable for easier use.
