METHAMOD Methanation Units

KHIMOD designs and manufactures an innovative methanation system called METHAMOD^® to transform CO₂ and electricity or hydrogen into methane.

The METHAMOD solution is the result of French industrial research and innovation and has been developed jointly with CEA (Liten) within the context of the LACRE joint laboratory. The design of the METHAMOD reactor is based on an assembly of reactive and cooling plates, produced using an innovative technique mastered by KHIMOD: diffusion welding assisted by Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP). These plates are independent of one another and their number can be adjusted according to the required reactor capacity.

The METHAMOD product line meets several needs in CO₂ discharge recovery and storage (Power to Gas).
