Actuators
Electromechanical actuators for Aeronautics
ADR designs and manufactures linear and rotating electromechanical actuators that meet the specific needs of controlled positioning, repeatability of movement, power and load capacity.
ADR linear and rotating electromechanical actuators combine high efficiency with a small size and low weight.
ADR relies on this innovative technology to develop optimized solutions for embedded systems and servitude management: emergency actuators, secondary flight control actuators, etc.
High-Precision Ball Bearings
Miniature and annular bearings for enhanced performance
ADR designs and manufactures a wide range of high-precision ball bearings that comply with the most demanding technical specifications and are EN9100 certified.
The materials, liquid or solid lubricants and manufacturing processes are qualified and field proven. The range of ADR's bearings is vast: from 1 to 330 mm and up to ABEC 9 (ISO 2). They guarantee high reliability and resistance in the most restrictive environments: vibration, thermal, climatic, speed, etc.
ADR ball bearings are present in various aeronautical and space equipment and instruments such as valves, pumps, actuators, turbochargers, and more.
Integrated Bearings
Performance and repeatability
ADR designs and manufactures preloaded duplex ball bearings.
ADR bearings guarantee the best compromise of stiffness and friction torque while optimizing the weight, dimensions and cost of the equipment. This specific design uses qualified materials and liquid or solid lubricants and is responsible for the excellent performance and repeatability of behavior of these bearings.
Assembly and final inspections in a clean room ensure a high level of cleanliness and spatial compatibility. ADR integrated bearings are in particular used in satellite mechanisms such as the deployment of solar panels or antennas (SADM), engine orientation, inertia wheels, filter wheels, etc.
Molds for Satellite Antennas
Molds for producing geostationary satellite antennas
For over fifteen years, ALSYMEX has designed and manufactured invar molds with specific deformation profiles used for manufacturing geostationary satellite antenna reflectors.
Based on theoretical data and using specific semi-finished equipment supplied by the client, ALSYMEX manufactures, machines and polishes reflectors with a diameter of up to 3 m within a maximum period of thirty days.
Safety Components
ALSYMEX designs and manufactures a range of effective safety device solutions for propulsion systems:
- Aeronautical non-return valves
- Subsea safety valves
- Tank lids
Tube Fittings
The experience acquired from over 50 years in manufacturing of tube fittings for nuclear applications with a very high level of safety and dependability is what makes ALYNOX able to offer competitive, alternative solutions for Aeronautics & Space applications.
The components manufactured by ALSYMEX, in stainless steel and/or nickel alloy (Inconel), using an innovative hydro-forming technology, have high-performance mechanical properties and enable substantial on-board weight savings.
By way of an example, ALSYMEX produces Inconel fittings installed on the fuel circuit of the A400 M's engines.
ALSYMEX also has a line of ABF three-piece machined fittings, which are removable and have metal-metal sealings (250 bar – 600 °C). Their design can be adapted to any of our clients' needs (SW, BW, threaded, etc.).
Two-Phase Liquid Cooling
ALSYMEX studies and designs cooling systems based on two-phase liquid loops. These upstream theoretical and experimental studies involving two-phase cooling issues have now enabled a global industrial solution to be offered for thermal management of new-generation high heat flow density power electronics (thermal flux).
Thermal transfer components line – DIPHASIK®:
- Fully sealed miniature pump
- Condenser
- Dynamic evaporator
- Fluid (phase change)
- Fully sealed fluid connector
Valves for Space Propulsion
ALSYMEX designs and manufactures a line of flow control valves intended for propulsion subassemblies of satellites engines, with a thrust ranging from 1 to 500 N and either monopropellant or bipropellant.
With a robust and field-proven design, ALSYMEX valves are "Flight Proven" certified. They are primarily used in apogee engines of geostationary satellites (telecom) and in propulsion systems of small satellites in low orbit for altitude control.
Also used in custom space applications from off-the-shelf equipment, ALSYMEX valves are adapted to the most demanding requirements, especially those expressed in launch vehicle applications or scientific space missions.

Ground and On-Board Instrumentation
LERITY designs and manufactures instrumentation periscopes able to be deployed in flight for a high-definition, real-time view of the aircraft equipment while in operation as well as the air flows outside the aircraft.
The observation periscopes have several motorized HD cameras on 3 axes allowing for a close observation of equipment. Images are displayed in real time, on board, for analysis by test engineers and are also transmitted to the ground for recording and interpretation in the testing laboratory.
Qualified for high-altitude test flights, LERITY supplies this aeronautical instrument to aircraft manufacturers.
Head Up Display Camera
LERITY has been designing and manufacturing HUD (Head-Up display) cameras for military aircraft for close to two decades. These cameras enable simultaneous recording of the HUD symbols and the field of vision observed by the pilot.
LERITY develops real-time embedded algorithms for enhanced image dynamics. The HUD cameras are suitable for extreme conditions (blinding light and sunshine, landing, pressurization, temperature, humidity, etc.) for any type of aircraft or helicopter (mission and training with "Replay" function).
LERITY supplies DASSAULT AVIATION (RAFALE, MIRAGE 2000 and MIRAGE F1), BOEING (F-15 of the USAF and F-18 of the US NAVY), HAL (LCA Tejas) as well as trainer aircraft such as the Alpha Jet and the ORLIK PZL-130.
LERITY cameras are RTCA - DO-160 qualified and certified as compliant with standards DO-254 and DO-178.
Non-Destructive X-Ray Testing
AVELION (formerly PMB) produces non-destructive X-Ray testing systems combining a high X-ray energy LINAC (linear particle accelerator) with an imaging and handling system. The performance of these systems relies on the use of computerized tomography techniques that combine X-rays with computers to produce images of the inside of the object being inspected. The AVELION systems therefore provide cross-sectional and three-dimensional images of the inspected components. They combine precise detection of faults in complex structures, without altering the properties, with a very simple computer interface.
These non-destructive X-Ray testing systems are used in particular to test components and machines in aeronautics and space. These components are subjected to difficult environments and extreme conditions. They require precise and rigorous inspection in order to identify any internal faults.

Black Box Search
ALSEAMAR operates 24/7 in the event of air accidents to quickly locate black boxes, covering every sea in the world.
To do so, the company uses its 20 years of experience in subsea acoustics and the two long-distance acoustic detection systems ALSEAMAR has developed and operates in the event of accidents, the DETECTOR-1000 and the DETECTOR-6000.
The turnkey service offered by ALSEAMAR includes: - dispatch to the site of equipment and personnel to conduct searches, - deployment and recovery of DETECTOR, and - issuance of a mission report.
Submerged 1,000 m under the sea, the DETECTORs are capable of detecting and distinguishing the low noise levels of a flight recorder from the background sea noise at up to a depth of 4,000 meters.
ALSEAMAR successfully intervened in 2016 to locate the black boxes of EgyptAir flight MS804 at a depth of 3,000 m in the Mediterranean sea. The company has also intervened successfully in Sharm El Sheikh (Red Sea) and Sochi (Black Sea).
The location process can take a few hours or a few days, depending on the size of the search area and the meteorological conditions.
